If you’ve been following along with RGC, you’ve probably met our inspiration Gram, and have tasted her famous Snickerdoodles.  But those cinnamon & sugar treats weren’t the only baked goods she was known for!  Beloved by my own mother, it was Gram’s Texas Sheet Cake that was a highly requested after-school treat.  Maybe genetics or it’s just that magical- as tradition seemed to continue as Gram continued to whip up this decadent, chocolate-cake-magic, for us, too. 

After we received many requests for a cookie fit for serious chocolate lovers, Gram's famous Texas Sheet Cake was the first thing that came to mind.  Paying homage to this sacred childhood dessert by baking it into cookie form felt like a daunting task, but I believe we did it justice.  Just like the vast plains of Texas, these Texas Sheet Cake Cookies are big, rich and bold, evoking the essence of the Lone Star State.
